A newly re-outfitted independent pharmacy in Edinburgh is now looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team and help deliver outstanding health and wellbeing services to the local community.
Located in a residential neighbourhood close to local amenities and primary care providers, the pharmacy is often a bustling place (dispensing c. 6,000 items per month) and is well set-up to provide a range of both NHS and private services. Following a change of hands, the team is looking to expand and optimise the services available – including travel health support, vitamin injections, blood tests and more – to improve access to convenient one-stop healthcare and reduce pressure at local GP practices.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you can expect to play a vital role in supporting the Pharmacists and keeping the pharmacy running smoothly: using your fine-tuned skills to safely assemble prescriptions, dispense medication, and resolve queries. Together with the rest of the team, you will help to make sure each visitor feels welcome and well cared-for when accessing pharmacy services.
This is a permanent, full-time position for a Pharmacy Technician, with working hours averaging 9 – 6, Mon – Fri.
Person specification:
- (Essential) SVQ / NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Service Skills (or equivalent)
- (Essential) Registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician
Benefits/enhancements include:
- Free parking
- Employee discount in-store
- 20 days’ annual leave + bank holidays
