A leading independent hospital for elective healthcare is now looking for an experienced Theatre Nurse (RN Adult) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join their Theatre Department as a Senior Theatre Practitioner (Scrub, Anaesthetics and Recovery considered).
Rated “Good” in all areas, the hospital offers routine and complex interventions across a broad range of specialties for patients from Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and beyond. With 3 operating theatres plus an Ambulatory Care Unit and close ties to enhanced imaging and pathology services on-site, the department performs diverse procedures including:
- Complex orthopaedic surgeries
- Cosmetic procedures for weight loss and aesthetic purposes
- Ophthalmic surgeries for glaucoma and cataracts, and
- Other specialties such as ENT, OMF, gastroenterology, gynae, urology & oncology.
As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will join and act as a role model for a team that works hard to make sure each procedure goes as safely and smoothly as possible – as reflected in the hospital’s excellent patient satisfaction scores.

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5h) position for a Senior Theatre Practitioner with a mixed shift pattern.
Person specification:
- (Essential) Registration either with the NMC (Registered Nurse, RN Adult) or the HCPC (Operating Department Practitioner, ODP)
- (Essential) Relevant ILS and mentorship qualifications
- (Essential) Evidence of further CPD within a relevant theatre specialty
- (Essential) A broad level of theatre experience to include orthopaedics
